Loretta Louise Spizzo, 82, of Venice, FL, formerly of Staatsburgh, NY passed away July 31, 2015. Loretta was born on March 18, 1933 in Glens Falls, NY. She was a waitress and homemaker. A member of St. Paul's Church in Staatsburgh, Loretta enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, decorating her home both inside and out, fishing with her husband, and being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and loved spending time with her husband and friends outside, enjoying her coffee and gardens.
Survivors include her spouse, Antonio Spizzo; three children: Darlene (David) Plavchak of Highland, NY, Vincent Spizzo of Tillson, NY, Linda (Paul) Karpowich of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Cristine (Michael) O'Connor, Allison Zappone (fiancé, Kevin Smith), Michelle Plavchak, Sarah Plavchak, Michael Karpowich, Justin Karpowich, Paul Karpowich, III, Jenni Karpowich, Victoria (Misha) Villahermosa, Joseph Spizzo, Nicole Spizzo, and Thomas Spizzo; daughter-in-law, Debra Krom Spizzo of Tillson, NY; great grandchildren: Owen, Sophie, Lucas and Hannah O'Connor and Brynlee Bush. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Penn Plaza, Suite 1710, NY 10122.
