Lorraine ""Lori"" Siegmann, age 71, of Venice, passed away on February 10, 2018. She was born in Philadelphia to William and Lorraine Astfalk on October 16, 1946. She graduated from Quakertown High School and West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Lori served in the Peace Corps for 4 years as well as a teacher in Bristol, PA, where she met her beloved husband Warren. Lori and Warren were happily married for 47 years. She spent many years in real estate and working as a paralegal in Venice and Sarasota. Warren and Lori enjoyed living aboard their 33 foot sail boat in Marathon and other Florida ports for ten years. One of Lori's favorite occupations was when she taught sailing in the Florida Keys. In her spare time, Lori enjoyed singing in the choir, spending time with friends, and family, and traveling as well as wanting to always be on the water. In their Venice neighborhood, she enjoyed walking their dog Sawyer with her dog walking friends and ""The Pack"". Lori also participated in the ""Big Sister/Little Sister"" program in the city of Venice.
Surviving family members include her husband, Warren H. Siegmann of Venice; son Bill Siegmann and daughter in law Cheryl; granddaughter Emily Foster and her husband Steve; great granddaughter Madelyn Foster, all from Connecticut; sisters Judith Lake (England) and Carol Riddle (Pennsylvania); brothers in law Dennis and Richard Siegmann and wife Deborah(Pennsylvania); nephew Jaime Siegmann (Oklahoma); niece Kyla Siegmann (Connecticut) and children Azyda and Cyer; and special friends Diane Goshorn, Sarasota and Maryann Kelmelis and her children Tara and Lance, Connecticut.
