Louis S. Perfetto, Sr., 82, of North Port, FL, formerly of Old Saybrook, CT died July 9, 2012. Lou was born to the late Christine (Petrillo) and Rocco Perfetto in New Haven, CT on June 2, 1930. An avid train collector for 50+ years, Lou was also a member of Valley N Track, the Orange Historical Society, New Haven Derby Model Railroad Club, and Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sprinkler Fitters of CT Local 777. Lou was a Master Plumber for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War. After retiring, he operated his own business, Hilltop Plumbing and Heating for 10 years. Lou was preceded in death by his brother, Robert and his first wife, Elizabeth (Kiely) Perfetto. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Joan; children: William Perfetto of Gardinier, ME, Louis Perfetto, Jr. of North Port; Diana Freyer of North Port and Edward Morrone of Branford, CT; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Alfano of Old Saybrook, CT. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, July 14th at Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 8950 Dr. MLK JR Street, #205,St. Petersburg, FL 33702.
