Marian J. Kamerlander

Marian J. Kamerlander, 90, of Venice, Florida passed away June 30, 2015. Surviving family members include her loving husband of 69 years, Marvin, her son Robert (Roberta), brother Jay, and sister Carol. She also had 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Richard and 5 siblings. Prior to moving to Venice in 1983, she resided in Lake Barrington Shores, Illinois. Marian was a kindergarten teacher and executive secretary at Union Carbide in Chicago. She enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. She was also an avid game player, especially enjoying bridge and scrabble. A member of Lakeside Lutheran Church since 1983, she participated in the choir and Stitch and Chatter service group. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Lakeside Lutheran Church, 2401 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL, 34293. In lieu of flowers or other offerings, donations can be made in Marian's name to Lakeside Lutheran Church.
