Marie M Campobasso

Marie M Campobasso, née McLaughlin, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Venice, Florida, at the age of 89. Born on April 17, 1937, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Marie lived a life marked by grace, dedication, and enduring relationships that enriched all who knew her.

Marie received a BA from Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire and a Masters from Boston University. She was a beloved guidance counselor at Andover High School in Andover, Massachusetts for over 30 years. She won numerous Faculty Appreciation Awards from her students, many expressing gratitude in the years after graduation for the positive influence she had in their lives.

Marie was a devoted member of Epiphany Cathedral, Roman Catholic Church in Venice Florida. 

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Campobasso, whose partnership brought her profound joy and companionship throughout their years together. The youngest of six children, Marie was predeceased by her brothers Walter McLaughlin and Richard McLaughlin, as well as her sisters Edna Sadler, Nancy Hession, and Jean Mockler. She was the daughter of Walter P McLaughlin and Anne McLaughlin (née McNamara), both of whom preceded her in passing.

Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews with whom she kept close relationships through the years. Through all of life’s chapters, Marie’s steadfast support and wisdom provided a guiding light to those near to her, fostering bonds that will be treasured by her family and friends for years to come.

Marie’s journey from Nashua to Venice reflected her appreciation for community and her quiet strength throughout the changes and challenges of life. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Marie recall her kindness, generosity, and loyalty to family. Her legacy is one of dignity and resilience, serving as an inspiration to all who were fortunate to share in her life.

Marie M Campobasso will be remembered fondly by her loved ones and all who were touched by her warmth and compassion. Her memory will be cherished, and her impact will continue to be felt in the hearts of her family and friends.
