Marilyn Cassidy

Marilyn Cassidy, born on July 15, 1933, in Brockway, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 13, 2026, in Venice, Florida, she was formerly of Slingerlands, NY. Marilyn was an Educator for the Albany, New York Public Schools. She retired in 1990.

Marilyn was an accomplished artist specializing in watercolors. She was active in the local arts community. For many years she was the Chairperson for the Venice Arts Center Fine Art Show which is held annually in the month of February.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Cassidy, with whom she shared her life and family. Their bond remains part of the legacy she leaves behind.

She is survived by her son, David Cassidy of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Elizabeth Starling and her partner Erik McGregor of Tappan, NY; and her granddaughter, Wylie (Jeff) Walker and a great grandson of Lexington, SC.

A Memorial Gathering is planned for Thursday,  September 10 between 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Venice Arts Center located at 390 Nokomis Avenue South, Venice, FL 34285. Please come join her family to celebrate her life.
