Mark Allen Castle

Mark Allen Castle, of Venice, Florida, passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on January 30, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio.

Mark proudly served in the United States Navy from 1977 to 2001, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer, ITC (SW). During his distinguished military career, he earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification and received numerous honors and awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Navy Expeditionary Medal.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Lee (Lan) Castle, of Venice, Florida; three brothers, Mike (Pam) Castle, Jim Hatfield, and Mike (Tonya) Hatfield; and his sister, Karen Castle Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ebb and Sarah Castle and Mary and Paul Wemlinger; his sister, Sharon Norris; and his brother, Terry Hatfield.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Bayside Community Church, 8200 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida. A committal service with military honors will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
