Marvin Monroe Boulanger

Marvin “Marv” Monroe Boulanger of Nokomis, Florida, passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 89.  He was born on March 19, 1936 in Kincaid, Illinois and moved to Nokomis in 1984 from Oak Forest, Illinois.  He was a welder with ACME Steel in Riverdale, IL and was the owner of B&B Heating and Cooling in Oak Forest, IL.

Marv served in the U.S. Army from August 3, 1959 - July 31, 1965 where he served as an army-radio maintenance technician rank SP4 with the Army  209th Artillery Group 4th Army. He also received marksmanship and sharpshooter awards

He is survived by his wife Barbara A. Boulanger of Nokomis; a son, Scot T. Boulanger of Beecher, IL; a daughter, Nadine J. Boulanger of Nokomis and a sister, Carol Gibson of Edinburg, IL.  He also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Michelle, Brittany, Dakota, Dylan and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Cayden and Ella.  Marv was preceded in death by his father, Lambert Boulanger; his mother, Helen Boulanger; two brothers, Robert Boulanger, Vernon Boulanger and a sister, Jodean King.

There will be a private service for family and friends, and he will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a dog charity of your choice.
