Melvin Bernard Panfil

Melvin Bernard Panfil, 83, of Venice, FL passed away November 8, 2014. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 62 years, Elaine; children: John (wife, Cynthia) Panfil and Susan (husband, John) Bowden; grandchildren: Dr. John (wife, Laura) and Michael (fiancée, Stephanie) Bowden, Thomas (fiancée, Rachel) and David (girlfriend, Kaitlyn) Panfil; his great granddaughter, Lucy Grace Bowden, to whom he was lovingly known as ""Grumps""; sister-in-law, Ruth Jensen; niece, Amy (husband, Thomas) Kunath, great niece, Sarah and great nephew, Timothy. He also leaves other dear relatives and many friends. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be at 12:30 PM, Friday, November 14 at Sarasota National Cemetery followed by a Memorial Mass at 2 PM, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
