Michael M. Brnovich
May 19, 1937 — Feb 18, 2018
Michael M. Brnovich, age 80, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2018. He was born on May 19, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. Michael was a veteran of the US Army, American Legion Post #113 in Rotonda West and also a member of the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in North Port. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, who would give endlessly of himself for anyone in need. Every stranger was a friend he never met. He never had a harsh word to say to anyone and adored watching his grandchildren and grandnephews on the athletic fields. Mike also worked tirelessly and faithfully at his Serbian Church, helping to realize the dream of building a house of worship for those who share his faith. Special souls like his rarely grace our planet and we were privileged to share time with him on his earthly journey.
He is survived by his daughter, Lenka (Everett) Perron of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; a son, Peter M. Brnovich of Englewood, Florida and a brother, Peter Brnovich of Rotonda, Florida. He also leaves behind three loving grandchildren; Brynn, Mya, Hayden; two nephews, Sam and Mel; a niece, Missy and their beloved children.
