Michael Francis Miliano
October 28, 1953 – April 15, 2026

Michael Miliano was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the third of four children. The son of a Professional Engineer, Mike made his living in the construction trades, first training as a carpenter before going on to become a Foreman, Construction Manager, General Contractor, and Building Inspector, acquiring extensive knowledge of the trades and ground-up construction in the process.

In 1990, Mike moved his family from Massachusetts to Florida, building a home for his wife and children near a small private beach in the idyllic community of Venice. Michael and his family members remained in Venice for over thirty years, building their lives, growing and changing as the community evolved. In 2020, Mike began living and spending much of his time at a beloved property he acquired in the mountains of North Carolina. Mike made the place his home, relocating there and adopting the local culture and community as his own.

During the course of his life, Mike designed and built more than a dozen different houses with his own hands, making a home and building a good life for his family with each project. His skill and abilities in the field are surpassed only by his willingness to help others and the positive impact he had on the lives of those who knew him.

Mike had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, riding thousands upon thousands of miles all across America, seeking out roads he enjoyed across each of the lower 48 States. It was there on his motorcycle he felt most alive and free, and he lived free his entire life.

Michael is survived by his two sons and three grandchildren. A private ceremony will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Michael’s name.
