Milton Brown Alligood

Milton Brown Alligood, Jr., age 85, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on April 2, 2012. He was born on June 24, 1926 in Waterford, Connecticut. He was the owner & operator of his own construction company and was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Milton was a member of the V.F.W. Post in Waterford, CT. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine; two daughters, Karen DeSousa of Stonington, Connecticut, Kathy Schnable of Rhode Island; three sons, James Alligood of Franklin, Connecticut, John Alligood of Tennessee, Gary Alligood of Salem, Connecticut; two step-daughters, Dona Rheaume of Waterford, Connecticut and Colleen Sigler of Ormond Beach, Florida. He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00AM with a service to follow on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Impelliteri Malia Funeral Home in New London, CT. Burial with military honors will follow at Jordan Cemetery in Waterford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
