Misty Workman

Misty Dawn Workman, a mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 23rd, 2018 at the young age of 40. Misty is survived by her four children, Katelynn Nicole Braswell (21), Heather Renee Braswell (19), Emily Dawn Braswell (13), and Tyler James Workman (10). She is predeceased by her mother Patricia Ann Workman and her father James Alvie Davis. Misty was born on December 11th, 1977 in Phoenix, Arizona to Patti and James. Misty grew up in Oklahoma, close to her family members. After her first daughter was born in March of 1997 she moved to Florida in January of 1998. After having her second daughter, she attended the State College of Florida to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. In the later years of September 2004 and April 2008, Misty welcomed her third daughter and first son into this world. Misty found her passion as an event director, and her favorite was planning weddings. Misty was a devoted mother and an avid beach-goer. She enjoyed spending her Saturday's watching her daughters cheer and her son play football then have a BBQ at the North Jetty on Sunday's. In Misty's adult-life, she found her best friend Melinda Ellis, whom treated her family like they were her own. Misty was a problem-solver who often took on difficult tasks at work and home. She was a caring woman and would give the shirt off of her back if it meant that someone wouldn't go without. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, community members, and everyone who knew her.
