Nora Shanley Scofield

After a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Nora (Jane) Shanley Scofield passed away at her home on Sunday, August 9, 2026 under hospice care at the age of 86.

Nora resided in Batavia and LeRoy New York before relocating to Venice Florida. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength and generosity. Along with those beautiful blue eyes.

Nora is survived by her devoted partner John Clarke Britnell, her children Shari (William) Sheron, Jeffery White, Benjamin Scofield, and Jennie Scofield McMullen; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husbands Gordon White and John Scofield.

In accordance with Nora’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the family’s convenience. Nora will be laid to rest at Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, Florida.
