Norma Bonney Young

Norma Bonney Young, age 96, of Venice, FL, died on August 21, 2014. She was born in Medford, MA on September 2, 1917, and moved to Venice from Byfield, MA in 1977. Norma worked in Newburyport as a legal secretary for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church and the League of Women Voters. She was an active volunteer at the Venice Presbyterian Church and the Venice Library. Norma was the first treasurer of the Colonial Manor Home Owners Association. Surviving family members include her daughters, Joan Clark of W. Newbury, MA and Marsha Young of Venice, FL; son John Young of Brooklyn > NY; sister Eleanor Simons of St. Johnsbury, VT; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, John, daughter Bonney Young, sister Anne Freeman, and brother Paul Bonney. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Venice Presbyterian Church Library or to Colonial Manor Mobile Home Park.
