Ollis A. Wright, known by all as Tiny, born in Springville, New York, passed away in Venice, Florida on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife, Norma, of 63 years; their 3 daughters and husbands: Patricia and Murray Smith (of Springville, NY), Susan and David Gutacker (of Houston, TX), and Mona Wright and Michael Savarese (of Naples, FL); 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his twin brother “Hap” and his grand daughter Andrea Smith. Tiny served in the military during World War II, later as a member of the American Legion, and as a recognized member of the Lions Club. He will be remembered as a builder of the Springville community, both through civic engagement and construction projects, as a loving husband, father, and grandparent.
