Patrick Johnson

He earned All-American honors in tennis in high school at Douglas MacArthur High School in Saginaw. He repeated this achievement at the college level, earning All-American honors in 1988 at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. The All-American title is awarded to the top high school and college players in the U.S.

In 1988, Patrick contributed to Rollins College's success in the NCAA Tournament and the Sunshine State Tennis Conference Championship. After graduating, he obtained an insurance license and worked in Chicago. He later moved back to Florida to join his father at Insurance Services of Sarasota, where he lived in Venice during this period. He explored other career opportunities in California and Manatee County and moved to the Bradenton area. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private, family event will be held at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5960 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48638, sometime in October to inter his ashes with his mother and father.

He is survived by his brothers William (Bill) Johnson and Bruce Klein; his sisters Carol Masone and Susan Benaway and her partner, Ken Lambert; and his sisters-in-law Xenny Johnson, Margaret Jean Cannon, and Mary Klein. His older brother, Michael Klein, passed away on July 11, 2015.

He is and will be missed by his relatives and friends.
