Paul Alan Chisholm, age 68 of Venice, FL died March 15, 2016 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born in Olean, NY to James and Doris (Sill) Chisholm. Paul graduated from Olean High School and received a chemical engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He spent much of his career working with GE Plastics and ultimately retired from Perry Chemical in Lafayette, IN. He and his wife Paula settled in Venice, FL where he lived his dream playing golf (almost) every day. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 46 years, Paula (Wilday) Chisholm. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters Robin (John) Herbon and Beth (Jim) Woods ; grandchildren Caleb, Sophia, and Madelyn Herbon and Ethan and Andrew Woods; sister Beverly Davis; mother-in-law Mary Wilday; sister-in-law Jan Chisholm; sister-in-law Cindy (Steve) Ebsary, brother-in-law Ward ""Skip""(Greta) Wilday; and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother James Chisholm; father-in-law Ward Wilday; sister-in-law Sara Bradley; and niece Kaleigh Wilday.
Family will have a time of remembrance at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kaleigh WIlday Endowment at the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation, All Faiths Food Bank BackPack Program at Islandwalk in Venice, FL, or Tidewell Hospice.
