Paul Di Perna

In Loving memory of Paul P. Di Perna November 12, 1922 - January 5, 2014 Paul Di Perna, 91, of North Port, FL passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on January 5, 2014. Paul was born November 12, 1922 in Elena, Italy to the late Maira and Luigi Di Perna. Paul graduated Somerville High School in Somerville, MA. He served in WWII Army Air Force. He owned his own Variety Store in Somerville, MA. Paul was a construction worker for Turner Construction Company for 25 years. He enjoyed yard work, going to the beach, playing golf and going on cruises with his wife. He enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs with a glass of wine. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Viola DiPerna, whom he lovingly called ‘Babe'. Survivors include children: Diane Conti of Rye, NH, Paula Chiapperini of North Port; Estelle Clark of Peabody, MA; 7 grandchildren: Angela Ewing, Danielle Conti-Owens, Stephen Chiapperini, Jessica Domenech, Vanessa Chiapperini, Anthony Chiapperini and Eric Clark; 9 great grandchildren: Sydney, Emmett, Iain, Lindsey, Isabel, Dylan, Thalia, Kayla, JuJu and 2 great great grandchildren: Addison and Florence. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel on Wednesday, January 8th from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM with a Prayer Service to follow at 12:30 PM. A Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.
