Raymond G. Bowersock

Raymond G. Bowersock, 94, of North Port, FL passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born March 16, 1920 in Mansfield, Ohio. Ray lived in Crestline, Ohio until 1970 when he and wife of 65 years moved to Florida first resided in North Port and then Venice/Englewood area. Ray, was a veteran of World War II, served in the infantry of the army and was awarded the Bronze Star. He also severed in the Air National Guard. Ray is finally reunited with his beautiful wife Ester Jane whom he had missed so dearly. He is survived by their three sons; Robert and his wife Mickie of North Port, FL , Jim and Mary of Carey, OH, and Terry and Linda also of North Port, FL. Ray also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2 pm at the Sarasota National Cemetery on Clark Rd in Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a Veterans organization of your choice.
