Renata (Rena) Stahlman died at home in Venice, Florida on May 19, 2015. She married Harold (Skip) Stahlman in 1978. He died on February 22, 2015. Rena was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on March 17, 1926, the daughter of Maria and Carlo Cantelli. Her only brother, Silvio Cantell preceded her in death. Rena grew up in the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her nephew Stephen Cantelli, New Hampshire – his son and his two grandchildren; her stepchildren, Phillip Stahlman, Stephen Stahlman, Patti Stahlman and step-granddaughter, Anna J. Stahlman.
Rena had been an Administrative Assistant. She and Skip had homes in Winchester and Falmouth, Ma. and retired to Venice. They had belonged to The Waterford Golf Club. She loved animals and bird watching.
Services will take place at Farley’s Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Avenue, On Wednesday May 27 – Visitation at 1 PM and funeral at 2 PM. She will be buried in a family lot near her parents, in West Roxbury Massachusetts on Friday May 29. Memorial gifts in her name would be appreciated to Tidewell Hospice, Venice or to The Humane Society.
