Richard G. ""Rick"" Bellia, 70, of Venice passed away peacefully at his home on October 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Rick was a very outgoing person who loved his family and cherished his many friendships. As owner of the iconic Shirt Shop on Venice Avenue, Rick loved his community, of which he was a part for 32 years. He was also proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Rick is survived by Dorothy ""Dottie,"" his wife and best friend, sons Matthew and his wife Jill of Bradenton, and Anthony and his wife Katie of Winter Park, precious granddaughters Lola Elizabeth and Abigail Frances, dear sisters Sandra Pittarelli of Venice and Samie (Kevin) Burns of Fort Myers, loving brothers Phil and Rocky (Julie) of Venice, nephews Chris (Janis) Eaton of Michigan and Justin (Laura) Mazarra of Fort Myers, and nieces Andrea (Dave) Solomon of Michigan and Brooke Bellia of Venice, grandnieces Rachel, Samantha, Emily, & Adeline, and grandnephews Spencer and Tanner. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, October 17th at Epiphany Cathedral, with inurnment following in Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Rick's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel is caring for arrangements. Service Information
