Robert H. Konegen

Robert H. Konegen, Sr., 68, of Venice, FL passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Robert was born in Elizabeth, NJ. As a child, he spent summers at Lake Hopatcong with his family. Robert carried on the family business, Chemicote Paint, in Kenilworth, NJ until 1989. He was a member of the Deutscher Club in Clark, NJ. Robert spent the last 23 years in Florida, where he was a proud member of the Venice Camera Club. He lived each day to the fullest and was passionate about photography, travel and cooking for family and friends. He was energetic with a great sense of humor and made a lasting impression on those around him. We all will miss him deeply and are better for the time we spent with him. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman and mother, Fannie. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his 3 children (Robert & Leanne of FL & Bobbianne of PA), 2 step daughters (Robin & Pam), 4 grandchildren (Celina, Isabella, Gavin & Avery), 2 sisters (Marilyn Neumann of Kalispell, MT & Norma Martin of Englewood, FL) and many other family members including numerous cousins and in-laws. He had a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations for a memorial park bench can be made to Friends of Sarasota County Parks, 6700 Clark Rd, Sarasota, FL 34241 in honor of Robert Konegen.
