Robert Spencer Levering

Dr. Robert Spencer Levering passed away after a brief battle with cancer, in Venice, FL on August 10, 2017. He was born in Piqua, Ohio on July 14, 1938 to Helen Spencer Levering and William Levering. He graduated from Piqua High School in 1955 and attended The Ohio State University and the Ohio State Dental School, graduating in 1962. He was commissioned a captain in the Air Force and after college served at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio for two years. He then returned to Cincinnati where he practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Cincinnati Dental Society, where he held a number of offices. He also was a member of the Wyoming Golf Club. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Ruthi (Grad), in Venice, his daughter, Amy, his son-in-law William Seeds (Joslin) and grandsons Matthew, Brian and Billy Seeds all of Ashtabula, Ohio and stepdaughter, Erin Holzman of Cincinnati; a brother, Daniel Levering, predeceased him. Interment will be in Piqua, Ohio with a graveside service at a later date. Donations may be made to the Piqua Education Foundation, 719 East Ash Avenue, Piqua, Ohio 45356.
