Robert William Stein

Robert William Stein, 65, of Osprey, FL, died peacefully at home on March 23, 2012. Services will be held at Epiphany Cathedral Chapel in Venice, Tuesday, March 27th at 1:30pm. He is survived and missed by his wife of 44 years Patricia Stein; his five children Bill (Jenny) of Portland, OR, Sally (Kirby) of Naples, FL, Linda (Robert) of Duluth, GA, David (Staci) of Anderson, SC, and Debbie (Jaume) of Girona, Spain; six grandchildren Everett, Basil, Molly, Jordan, Aviva, and Jason; and siblings Jack (Ester), Nancy (Murph), Beth (Ron), and Bill (Joyce), of Anderson, SC. He was predeceased by parents William and Charlotte and sister Susan. Born in Cleveland, OH, he raised his family in Anderson, South Carolina before moving to Osprey, FL in 1992. He was a business manager, Certified Nursing Assistant, volunteer fireman, and former president of his neighborhood association. He served in the South Carolina National Guard. For his family he designed and built a home, furniture, playground equipment, a dock and a bridge. He enjoyed boating, flying small planes, traveling, gardening, cooking, learning new things, and visiting his children and grandchildren. He liked helping people and making rosaries for missions. He never gave up on his dreams and encouraged others to dream big as well.
