Robert Edward Vago

Robert Edward Vago, 89, of Osprey, Florida, passed away June 27, 2016. He was born and raised in England on November 13, 1926. Robert met his wife of 65 years, Catherine Stewart, while on holiday in Jersey-Channel Islands in 1951. They were married a few months later. They emigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1956 and raised 2 children, Blair Allan and Robert Stewart Vago. Robert ""Bob"" was a Chartered Electrical and Mechanical Engineer and was awarded 20 U.S. Patents on topics ranging from airline navigation systems to cryogenics and ultrasound applications in wound treatment and fish farming. He was a devoted family man. He is survived by Blair and Robert Stewart Vago of Osprey, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
