Rosemarie "Rosie" Karagosian

Rosemarie “Rosie” Karagosian (nee Johnson), age 78, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026 in Venice, Florida. Born on May 21, 1948 in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mary and Melvin Johnson.

Rosie was a dedicated wife to her late husband, David Karagosian. She cherished her family deeply and is survived by her sister, Patricia Stark and brother-in-law, Gary Karagosian. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness. Rosie was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Pappas and Ann Washburn, as well as her sister-in-law, Gerry Karagosian.

Rosie had a special love for animals and shared life with her cherished dog, Thurston and her lively Quaker parrot, Pee Wee. She found joy in simple pleasures such as playing Scrabble games and watching episodes of Jeopardy, which brought laughter and entertainment to her days.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.

A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 11:00AM-12:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:30PM.
