Ruth Anna Green

Ruth Anna Green, 84, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.

Born on August 19, 1942, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Bessie Margush, Ruth grew up with a strong work ethic and a warm spirit. She was a proud graduate of North Penn High School, Class of 1959.

On August 20, 1960, she married the love of her life, John L. Green, in Prospectville, Pennsylvania. Together, they built a wonderful life and family before moving from North Wales, Pennsylvania, to Sarasota, Florida, in 1990.

Throughout her working life, Ruth held various positions with grace and dedication, including working in sales at Select Comfort, and serving as a credit supervisor and decorator at JCPenney before her well-deserved retirement in 2008.

Ruth's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her loving son, John Bradley Green of Hatfield, PA; Daughter-in-law Loretta Rosa-Martir; her daughter, Joanne Marie Green of Telford, PA; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen Malinda Kollar (Kasey) of Lansdale, PA, Melanie Crystal Green (Sean Moran) of Philadelphia, PA, and Jeffrey Joseph Garner (fiancée Taylor Romeo) of Telford, PA; and her adoring great-granddaughters, Kayla Rose Bieler and Olivia Anne Kollar.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM with the service to celebrate Ruth's life to begin at 11:00 AM at Colonial Baptist Church, 2400 Taylor Ranch Trail in Venice, Florida.
