Samuel T. Saitta of North Port, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born on December 8, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Antonio and Frances Saitta. Samuel left Pennsylvania in 1954 and moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey where he lived most of his life. He moved to Florida in 2005.
Samuel served his country in the United States Army Air Corp from 1943-1945 and was in the 331st Bomb Squadron. He was stationed in Frances and England during that time. After leaving the military he formed his own business which he owned for 35 years. After he retired he became a licensed Realtor in New Jersey. He loved to read his Bible and say his rosary everyday. He was a member of San Pedro's Catholic Church in NorthPort. In his spare time he loved to cook for his family. Sam was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Edna of 65 years and his daughter, Diane Saitta Cupano. He is survived by his three children, Anthony Saitta of Yardley, Pennsylvania, Yvonne Brooks and Sandra Coppa both of North Port, Florida and his nephew, Raymond Saitta of Denver, Colorado. He had 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
He was our hero.
