Susan F. Grubb, 63, of Osprey, FL, formerly of Yonkers, NY, Poughkeepsie, NY, and Honolulu, HI, died on July 19, 2014. While at Hope Lodge, NY, NY, she attended St. Francis of Assisi parish daily. She was an avid gardener and world traveler. Susan graduated from Bennett College in Millbrook, NY with a Fine Arts degree and the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL with a Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She lived for 25 years in her beloved Hawaii, a place which held many special memories. Susan was also a Speech Pathologist for Sarasota County Schools, working at Taylor Ranch Elementary for ten years.
Survivors include her son, Spencer C. Grubb of Osprey, FL; mother, Doris Parks LaRotonda of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister Lisa (Michael) LaFalce of Poughkeepsie, NY; brother John LaRotonda of Poughkeepsie, NY; nieces Elena LaFalce and Andriana LaFalce, and nephew Justin LaFalce, all of Poughkeepsie, NY; multiple cousins and dear friends who assisted in providing her care over the past year.
A cenotaph will be located at the Garden of Tranquility fountain at Venice Memorial Gardens.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 2PM at Taylor Ranch Elementary School.
