Theodora “Teddie” Bartlett, age 96, of Venice, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2012. She was born on December 21, 1916 in Laurium, Michigan and moved to Venice in 1972 from Bloomfield, Michigan. She was a friend of the Venice Symphony, Our Lady of Lourdes Guild, Ladies of Venice Shrine, American Hibiscus Society, Venice Art Center, Venice Opera Guild, Venice-Nokomis Woman’s Club and she also served her country as a W.A.V.E. during World War II. She is survived by her sister, Colette Coomes of Naples, Florida and a brother, Kenneth Tobola of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Evelyn Scott and Elizabeth Scott. Services were at Our Lady of Lourdes. Burial was held at Venice Memorial Gardens. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
