Thomas G. Macdonald

Macdonald, Thomas G., of Englewood, FL formerly of Westwood, MA passed away Tuesday, December, 2016 at the age of 72 after a full life and a brief illness. He was born in Quincy, MA the son of the late Laughlin C. F. Macdonald and Irene M. (Stickney) Macdonald. Tom is survived by Paula Macdonald, his wife and best friend of 52 years. They shared much joy in their children, Laura, Laughlin (Locky) and his wife Libby, Sarah and her husband Toby Metcalf, his grandchildren, Addison Oblanas, Jackson, Duncan and Ellie Macdonald, Madeline, Lily and Peter Metcalf He is also survived by his six siblings, sisters, Betsy Macdonald, Kate Macdonald, and Susan Fazzio and her husband Chuck, brothers, Kevin and his wife Mim, Laughlin and his wife Cassie, Crandon, and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Westwood High School and Northeastern University, Tom spent most of his adult life in equipment sales and sales management in the industrial printing industry, having been employed by Compugraphic, Xerox, Heidelberg, and Dupont. Prior to retirement, he and his wife owned and operated a printing company in Hyannis, MA. Since retiring to Florida, Tom has been active in the Venice New Comers Club and its alumni. His family and friends from all corners of the country will miss him dearly for the fun he brought to the times he shared with all of them. A celebration of life reception will be held Saturday, January 7 from 4-7PM at the Island Walk Community Club House.
