Timothy Katsaris, Jr., 80 of Venice, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida and Steubenville, Ohio passed away August 9, 2016. Mr. Katsaris served his country from 1953-1962 in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Greenwood. Significant employment through his life included time spent with WSUN Radio, General Electric, National Cash Register (NCR) and Neurosurgical Associates of Venice. Tim was a thoughtful and gentle man with great love for children. He volunteered a great deal of time throughout his life to organizations that benefit children and even entertained them as a fun-loving character, affectionately named Bimbo the Clown. He is survived by his beloved children Steven (Michele) of Maryland, Kathryn (Peter) of Maine, & Kristen of Englewood, cherished grandchildren Eric, Luke, Emma, Brooke, & Victoria, former wife and great friend Barbara, brother Ken (Wendy), cousin Charles ""Chuck"" (Linda) Gaylord who was like a brother to him, and cousin George Seretis and family of Toronto, Canada. Memorial service will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel on Sunday, August 21st at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will take place with military honors in Sarasota National Cemetery on Monday, August 22nd at 10:00 AM. Service Information
