Vernon Edward Revere, age 66, passed away on May 17, 2017. He was born on June 18, 1950 in Flint, Michigan. He was a retired Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and also worked for Lockheed on the naval base. He enjoyed square dancing, traveling and his grandchildren. Vernon is survived by his daughter, Wendie Revere; granddaughters, Mercedes (Josh) Royster, Alicia (Chris) Patton, Brianne Patton; six great grandchildren; his mother, Myrtle Jane Revere; sisters, Katherine (Steven) Scheidler, Cynthia Wice (Debra); brothers, Raymond (Sheryl) Revere and Michael (Cynthia) Revere along with several nieces and nephews. Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Revere and great-granddaughter, Neveah. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Bethany United Baptist Church in Clio. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida handled the arrangements.
