Violet "Betts" Sanders

Violet ""Betts"" Sanders was called home to her Lord and Savior on January 23rd at her home in Venice, FL. She was born October 29, 1927 in Salem, OH to John and Mercedes Shepard. She was preceded in death by her husband William (Tom) Sanders, son Scott Sanders, sisters Caroline Dusenbury, Deloris Stowell, and Phylis Snyder, and brothers Jack Shepard and Dallas Shepard. Survivors include her children, Suzie French, Kathy (Bill) Boswell, Stephen (Patricia) Sanders, and Ty (Jessica) Sanders; brothers Don Shepard and Dean Shepard; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many friends. Betts worked at Salem Pottery and Warren Molded Plastics. She retired in 1980 and relocated in Venice, FL where she owned and operated her own business in until 2012. She spent the summers in Salem, OH with her children and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in Ohio at a later date.
