Virginia Blake Pond

Virginia Blake Pond, 90, of Venice, FL passed away July 14, 2015 at Venice Regional Bayfront Health. Virginia was born May 29, 1925 in Clinton, MI to Helen (Wallace) and Archie Spohr. Formerly of Britton, MI, she had made Venice her home for 18 years and was an active member of the Venice Yacht Club. Virginia loved to dance but her favorite pastime was playing cards with her family and dear friend Marge Ziegler. She was preceded in death by spouses William L. Miller and Robert Blake, sister Patricia Coffey and son-in-law Thomas Wiseman. Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Albert J. Pond; her children: Bridget Wiseman of Orlando, FL, Archie Miller (Deonna) and Robin Tressler both of Venice, FL; grandchildren: Megan Wiseman Arcuri, Casey Wiseman, Gabriel Miller Woody, Nathan Miller, and Cameron Tressler and five great grand children. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday September 18th, 2015 at 11:30 am at Sarasota National Cemetery.
