Vladimir (“Val”) Mackas, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2012 in Venice, Florida. He lived his working years in Connecticut, then retired to Florida with his beloved wife Pauline. They shared many happy years at King’s Gate Club (Nokomis) with each other, and with neighbors and visiting family. Val is survived (and lovingly remembered as a truly wonderful man) by son David, daughter-in-law Karen; grandson Brenan, granddaughters Renae, Lindsay and Danielle, great-grandchildren Daxon, Kaida, and Sawyer, brothers George and Joseph, many nieces and nephews, and former neighbors and friends. Memorial service is planned for September 8 at the First Church of Christ in Wethersfield CT, followed by a graveside service in Colchester, CT (Belmont Funeral Home). Visitation Information
