Willa Mae Norris

Willa Mae Norris 83, of Venice Florida formerly of Seymour, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017 at Baybreeze Nursing Home in Venice. She was born on March 22, 1934 in Greensburg Indiana to Herschel Thorpe and Bessie Mae Sylvia Thorpe. Both preceded her in death. Willa Mae retired from Ben Franklin before moving to Florida. She was also owner/operator of a beauty salon for many years. She enjoyed fishing at their cabin on White River and at their home on Grandview Lake. She also loved spending time with her grandsons. She is survived by her daughters Debra Sturgeon (Mike) of Eustis FL and Denise Patrick of Venice FL, grandson Nathan Sturgeon of Deland Fl and former husband Jack Norris of Seymour. She is also survived by her sister Christine Ogilvie of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Matthew Patrick, brother Herschel Thorpe and brother in law Sam Ogilvie. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
