Murray, William Alfred passed away on May 28, 2014. He grew up in Glencoe, IL, attended New Trier Township High School and graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. He and his twin brother, George MacGregor, ran track at both New Trier and W&L. A WWII veteran, he received his commission and served as a flight instructor at Enid, OK Army base. After the war, he had a long career in the food industry and became the President of the H.W. Madison Company in Medina, Ohio and subsequently a Director of the J.M. Smucker Company in Orville, OH. He loved golf and was a member of the Westwood Country Club, Rocky River, OH for over 50 years. He is survived by his beloved, Mary Barcus, daughters, Deborah Sloan (Hugh) of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Kathleen Edstrom (Paul) of Littleton, CO and Laurie Wade (Clifford) of Lexington, VA; son, William M. Murray (Patty) of Lake Bluff, IL; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Bette Jane Murray and wife of 16 years, Donna S. Murray. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3:00 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 508 Riviera St, Venice, FL 34285, with further services and inurnment at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 18001 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, OH.
