William ""Bill"" Martin Klein, Jr passed away on July 28, in Sarasota, FL. William was born in Brooklyn, NY to William M. Klein and Orme V. Webster on November 3, 1930. William was a dedicated US Navy Submariner on the USS Atule. He served on the Nassau County Police Department as Lieutenant, before ""retiring"" to Nokomis, and working for the Venice Post Office for 14 years. Bill was known for his love of ice cream and making people laugh with his stories and antics. He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Sarasota, and daughter Christine Klein-Fain, of Chatham, VA. He is predeceased by his daughter Patricia Lyn. Graveside Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery Friday, August 4th at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Tidewell Hospice Pet Therapy, Kendall Weigand, c/o Tidewell Hospcie 3550 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34239. Please make donations in memory of Bill Klein.
