William T. Moore, Jr.

William T. Moore, Jr., age 69, of North Port, Florida, passed away on August 10, 2017. He was born on June 20, 1948 in Dover, New Hampshire. William served in the United States Navy and then moved to North Port in 1979 from New Hampshire. He started with the Englewood Fire District and then transferred to the North Port Fire Department where he served over 20 years and retired as Chief. William is survived by his two children; Chris-Lee (Josh) McCombs of North Port, Kevin (Erin Brady) Moore of North Port. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; Taylor, Ashley, Jacob, Joshua, Payton and Madison. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. A service with honors provided by the North Port Fire Department will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
