Arturo M. Gonzalez

Arturo M. Gonzalez, age 95, of Wilder, Idaho, passed away on July 5, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his family.

Arturo/”Tutis”/”Chumpa”/”Apa”/”Grandpa” was born on January 14, 1931, in Refugio, Texas, to Emiliano and Maria E. Gonzalez.

He met his wife, Maria, in 1958, and made Idaho their home a couple of years later in 1960. He made his living as a farm labor contractor working primarily for Inouye and T&K Farms. That is where he built his community of friends.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria; brother, Raul Gonzalez; daughter, Blanca (Dale); son, Arturo Jr. (Anna); son, Emiliano (Mary); daughter, Carmen; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 siblings; and his son-in-law, Francisco Garcia.

The Gonzalez family wishes to thank all friends and family for the endless amount of love and support during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1122 W. Linden Street in Caldwell, with a graveside service to immediately follow at Wilder Cemetery. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
