Delores Helen Scott

Delores Helen (Helfrich) Scott, 97 years old, passed away in Nampa, Idaho Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Delores was born in Redmond, Oregon on September 10, 1928, to parents Devere and Helen (Reed) Helfrich.  Delores had one older sister, Darle (Helfrich) Runnels. Her family moved to Klamath Falls when Delores was in grade school.  She graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1946 and met her husband, John Scott shortly thereafter and married in November of that same year.  They were married 66 years when her husband passed in 2013.

Delores (Granny) and John (Grampy) spent much of their life together on his family ranch in Junction City, Oregon.  They also had deep community connections in Mt. Vernon, Oregon, as well as Jordan Valley, Oregon.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Devere and Helen Helfrich, sister Darle Runnels, husband, John Scott and daughter Janice Scott.

Delores is survived by her daughters Zelda (Scott) Workman, Helen (Scott) McDonald. Grandchildren, Cristina Rosenberg, Corrina Robinson, Linden Goodwin, Gordon Goodwin, Bo Workman, Sam Workman, Carol Cano, Ty Workman, Jo Anna Jackson, Brandon Plourde, and Teresa Stromme, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Delores will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Jordan Valley Cemetery in Jordan Valley, Oregon. Services are under care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Idaho.
