Edward Lee Hernandez

Edward Lee Hernandez, 47, of Caldwell, Idaho, was called home to be with God on June 29, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1979. Edward graduated from Caldwell High School in 1998. After graduating, he worked for Fred Meyer and held other temporary service jobs. Edward enjoyed walking, music, collecting antiques, and photography. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed people’s company.

He is survived by his mother, Elva Raney; his brother, Louie Hernandez of Caldwell; his sons, Elijah Hernandez of Caldwell and Joseph Hernandez of Boise; his daughter, Jessica Hernandez of Nampa; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Hernandez II; stepfather, Jim Raney; and his grandparents.

Special thanks to the staff of West Valley Medical Center and his aunt, Rosa Gonzales, for opening up her home and care for Edward. Also, thanks to his loved ones, family, and friends for all the love and support.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell, with Pastor Joe Ortega officiating. A viewing will be held from 12-1:00 pm, with a service to start at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, 2024 N. Illinois Avenue in Caldwell, with a reception following and will be announced.
