Mable Mae Colley

Apr 27, 1937 — Mar 11, 2026

Mable “Mae” Colley, 88 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Mae was born in Grangeville, Idaho on April 27, 1937, to parents William and Olive Belle (From) Holsclaw. Mae was one of ten children with seven brothers and two sisters. Her family moved to the Treasure Valley when Mae was five years old.

She graduated from Parma High School in 1955 and married her husband, Charles Buskirk. They were married for 23 years and had two children, Richard and Charlene. Charles and Mae later divorced, and she married Ben Colley, father of Heather and Craig, six years later. Ben and Mae were together for 38 years until Ben's passing in 2020.

Mae was a supervisor at Crookham's Seed Company until she retired.

Mae loved being social and spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. She enjoyed her treats, specifically: a chicken sandwich, a caramel macchiato, a milkshake, and a Doctor Pepper or two every day. She was a fan of watching football games and the RFD-TV channel which played country gospel music. One could often catch her singing along with the old-time gospel hymns. Mae loved watching game shows on TV like Buzzer. What she liked most was being with family and friends.

She will be very missed.

Mae was preceded in death by Francis, Edward, Annabelle, Barbara, Henry, John, and Granny and Grandpa.

Graveside services for Mae will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell. Services are under care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833.
