Margaret Nell Creech

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Margaret (Rule) Creech, age 84, on July 22, 2026.

Margaret was born on July 1, 1942, in Ontario, Oregon, to Don and Mary Rule. As the oldest of eight children, she helped care for her younger brothers and sister and remained devoted to her family throughout her life.

The Rule family lived in several communities in Oregon and Idaho before settling in the Boise Valley. Margaret graduated from Middleton High School in 1960 and attended Nampa Business College, where she earned a secretarial degree. While attending college, she met Nelson Junior Creech.

Margaret enjoyed a long career in administrative and secretarial positions. She worked for Martin Marietta Missile Systems in Mountain Home and later at a bank in Auburn, Washington. After returning to Idaho, Margaret and Junior married on May 28, 1966, and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

In 1980, the family moved to Challis, Idaho, where Margaret worked for Cypress Mines. In 1989, Margaret and Junior relocated to Baker City, Oregon, where they lived until retiring in 2005. They then returned to Idaho and settled in Emmett.

Margaret valued family, friendship, and time spent with those she loved. She had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, and steady presence. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Matthew. She is survived by her husband, Junior; her son, Stephen; her brothers: Dave, John, Dan, Steve, Mike, and Tim; and her sister, Mary.

A viewing will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 am, also at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, with interment to immediately follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
