Maria Elpidia Garcia

Maria Elpidia Montoya Garcia, age 74 of Wilder, Idaho, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Born on March 6, 1952, in Winkler County, Kermit, Texas. Maria was the beloved daughter of Juan Guadiola Montoya and Josefa Jimeneaz Urias. She devoted her life to her family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched through her kindness, compassion, and generosity. Her warmth, sense of humor, and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Maria del Carmen Garcia, Josephina Ellis (Jeff), Adam David Garcia (Maria), Graciela Elpidia Garcia; granddaughters, Gabriella, Jesika, Alexis; grandsons Adam-Joseph, Jake; brothers, Juan Montoya Jr., Samuel Montoya (Altagracia), Santos Montoya (Rita), Ruben Olvera (Esmerelda); sisters Tersa Baeza (Ynez), Gloria Avila (Victor), and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Services for Maria will include a viewing on July 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. Maria will be interred at Canyon Hill Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her forever.
