Pedro Alonso Ibarra Perez

October 31, 1963 — May 3, 2026

Pedro Alonso Ibarra Perez, 62, of Homedale, Idaho, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Pedro was born in Yepomera, Chihuahua, Mexico, in 1963.

Pedro came to the United States with his brother in 1985 at the age of 22. After returning to Mexico for a time, he made the U.S. his home again in 1992. In 1996, while working in the fields, he met the love of his life, Luz Maria. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, hard work, and family. They welcomed their first son a year later and went on to raise three handsome boys together. Pedro was also a proud father of eight children, a loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply.

Pedro was a hardworking man throughout his entire life and always made sure his family was cared for. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life — watching and playing baseball, gardening, caring for his farm animals, playing cards, and spending time with family. His favorite baseball team was the Houston Astros, and one of his favorite memories was attending his first Major League Baseball game in Colorado in 2019.

Pedro took pride in his cowboy boots and cowboy hats and was known as a handsome man with a kind and encouraging spirit. One of the last projects he enjoyed was building a new pig pen with his family, creating memories they will treasure forever. He also loved gathering with his siblings, nephews, and nieces from out of state and appreciated every moment they were able to spend together.

Pedro’s favorite place to share a meal with family was Chapalas, where laughter and stories were always plentiful. He had a way of encouraging everyone around him, often reminding them, “Échale ganas” — words that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

Pedro will be remembered for his strength, dedication, sense of humor, and the unconditional love he gave to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing him.
