Vicke Mae Huston

Vicke Huston, 78, of Nampa, Idaho passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Vicke was born on August 24, 1947, the daughter of Martha Grimes and Riley Grimes and was the oldest of four children. She spent her early years as an Air Force brat, moving with her family to different states including California, Alaska, Oregon, and finally settling in Homedale, Idaho where she finished school.

Vicke married Ron Sayler in Elko, Nevada in 1968, and they had three daughters together: Stacee, Nancy, and Mandee.

Vicke worked for the Canyon County Licensing Department in Caldwell and Simplot trucking before opening her own trucking business in 1994. Vicke owned and operated BVTRS until finally closing it in 2025. She took a lot of pride in her work and adored her drivers. As Vicke started downsizing her business, she began volunteering at the Nampa Police Department, where she spent many days helping out and made lots of friends. She truly enjoyed her time there.

Vicke is survived by her daughters: Stacee Floyd and Mandee Kendrick (Josh); grandchildren: Tyler VanRenselaar, Theron Floyd, and Kristen Floyd (all of whom she loved fiercely); great grandchildren, Addie and Liam; sister, Eve Mathews (Greg); brothers, Tom Grimes (Cheryl) and Riley Grimes; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Martha Grimes; and her daughter, Nancy Sayler.

At Vicke’s request, there will not be a service. Please remember her with a smile in your heart. “And though she be but little, she is fierce.”
