William J Ayotte

William J. Ayotte was born on April 20, 1937, in Bertha, Minnesota to Rev. William Ayotte and Leita Ayotte. Bill was the youngest of eight children, three brothers and four sisters, all of whom preceded him in death. Bill graduated from Middleton High School in 1955. He married the love of his life, Zelda Whiteley, and they were married for seventy-one years. He began a career with the Bureau of Public Roads (Federal Highway Administration). His work took him throughout the Northwest, where he managed and contributed to numerous projects during a career spanning forty-one years. Following his retirement from the Federal Highways Administration, Bill continued to share his knowledge and expertise as a consultant. Bill and Zelda had two children, Mark Ayotte (Jan) and Denise (Tom), 4 grandchildren, one preceded him in death, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
